New Art Installation by artist Lucrecia Waggoner, a beautiful story of transformation

New Art Installation by artist Lucrecia Waggoner, a beautiful story of transformation

Art Installation at Shinsei in the Sakaya Room | "KYOTO" by Lucrecia Waggoner ( 2015, porcelain with palladium leaf on wood)

The works of artist Lucrecia Waggoner are tales of travel, life long passion, inspiration, her family and global studies from Mexico City, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New York City, Santa Fe and of course Texas. The work installed at Shinsei – 'Kyoto' is reminiscent of cherry blossoms in the delicate hand-thrown porcelain shapes. Each porcelain element is a unique microcosm of beauty, some with iridescent applied palladium all brought together in an organic fashion through the incorporation of found wood from the artist's Texas ranch.
